Great points Jennifer. I would add that you should also be memorable, how you do that will differ. For me its about asking what the person you are meeting does for fun, and you sharing the same thing about yourself. After meeting 15-20 people in a short time, people will forget most others, but will remember you.
So what do you do for fun when you are not here? Ask, and be warm and fuzzy.

Go get em!

Jennifer, great point that you just never know who you are meeting. 1 degree of separation is very close. Thanks for the reminder!

I understand what you mean about practice. It is a daily practice to be grateful for even the smallest thing. I too have found gratitude even for the practice- knowing that the way I look at the world has been changed dramatically.

Thank you for your thoughts on gratitude and business. It's taken practice to stop and focus on what I have to be grateful for both in my personal and business life. It's a great tool and the benefits are valuable.

Jennifer,
You're so very right about the small, simple tasks and activities we often do each day that we take for granted. People circle a parking lot twenty times to get a parking space closer to a store or, even better, the gym. I park far out because it causes me to stop and be grateful to have healthy legs to walk with. Small things seem small until they're taken away.
